The News on 6 told you about The Northeast Youth Rodeo Association that lost close to $26,000 after a former treasurer was charged with embezzlement.

After seeing our story, a couple of local businesses want to do what they can to help these young rodeo competitors. Lithia Dodge in Broken Arrow and Corral West Ranchwear are both donating some money to help the kids out.

Bruce Miller with Lithia Dodge: "We're going to donate a thousand dollars to this youth rodeo association and challenge the other new car dealers in Broken Arrow and Tulsa to match that donation."

Steve Taylor with Corral West Ranchwear: "These kids work hard for what they do and they miss school events, it's not an easy thing, time consuming, it's a very expensive sport to do, we just want to do what we can."

The association also will hold several benefit events to raise money for the kid’s youth rodeos, starting in March.
