Tulsa Police are on the lookout for the suspect in a late Tuesday night shooting. A woman was shot in the head in the city's south side before midnight.
And it's just one of several incidents that have kept Tulsa Police busy late Tuesday and early Wednesday morning.
6 in the Morning reporter Omar Villafranca says police say the Fountain Crest Apartments are usually quiet. But Tuesday night, residents woke up to gunfire.
Police say it all started when an argument started in an apartment. One person involved in the fight left. That's when police say the suspect fired one bullet from the parking lot into the apartment. The bullet traveled through several walls and hit a woman in another apartment in the head. And even though she was shot, police she's fortunate. Tulsa Police Cpl Eric Nelson: "It appears the velocity of the bullet decreased quite a bit, before it struck the victim."
The woman's injuries are not life threatening. Investigators say they know the suspects first name and are looking for a silver Chevy pickup with a Tulsa Welding School sticker on the back window.
Tulsa Police were also busy with a chase through downtown Tulsa. A little before 2 AM Wednesday, an officer tried to stop a Chevy Lumina after it ran a red light. But the driver had other ideas. The suspect didn't pull over and even went the wrong way near Boston and First Street.
Tulsa Police caught up with the suspect after he wrecked on the Broken Arrow Expressway. Investigators believe the suspect might have been drinking.
There's no word on what charges he'll face.
