A 51 year old man is in serious condition at a Tulsa hospital after being hit during rush hour traffic Monday morning at 17th and Sheridan.

Tulsa Police say the driver of a car was going southbound on Sheridan when a man tried to cross the road in front of him. The driver wasn't able to stop because his brakes locked up on the wet pavement.

Officers say the pedestrian is in serious condition with head injuries.
