OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ An metro man is killed after his truck crashed into a concrete pillar along Interstate 44 in Oklahoma City.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Donald Blehm was driving north on I-44 near Southwest 29th Street when his pickup ran off the road and struck a bridge pillar. The O-H-P says Blehm was pinned inside the truck for about 45 minutes before firefighters were able to free him. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The patrol says Blehm was wearing a seat belt and that an air bag inside the truck DID employ.
