An investigation is underway into an early Wednesday morning truck fire at a local ministry.

The truck belonged to the Christian Outreach Foundation at 5900 West Charles Page Boulevard, a local ministry that serves other churches with food.

Fire crews were able to put out the fire, but the truck was a total loss. Officials say the fire started on the passenger side of the truck. The Fire marshal will use dogs to sniff out for accelerates.

The pastor of the church is devastated. Pastor Ruth Plante: "And we're gonna continue, we are going to continue. God will make a way." The truck was donated less than a year ago to help needy churches and citizens.
