LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher and Broken Arrow native Brad Penny is avoiding salary arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $5.1-million contract.
Penny was 9-and-10 with a 3.14 ERA for the Dodgers and Florida last season. He pitched just 11 and two-thirds innings for LA before a nerve problem caused him to miss the last eight weeks of the season.
