OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A 35-year-old man is going to prison for a year, then could be deported, for smuggling nearly a dozen illegal immigrants into Oklahoma.
Pedro Trejo-Rojo was convicted of driving eleven illegal immigrants, including a 5-year-old, from Arizona to Oklahoma last August. The group was carried in the bed of a pickup with a camper on the back.
Trejo-Rojo lived in Florida with his wife, but authorities say he'll lose his legal resident status because of the conviction and could be deported.
