TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ Larry Owens had a career-high 23 points and pulled down 12 rebounds to lead Oral Roberts past Oakland, Michigan 94-89 in a Mid-Continent Conference game.

Chris Riouse had 21 points, while Ken Tutt added 17 points for Oral Roberts.

Rawle Marshall paced the Grizzlies with 23 points in only 20 minutes before fouling out with 14 seconds left. Cortney Scott contributed 22 points and nine rebounds while Brandon Cassise added 16 points.

Oakland trailed 47-38 at halftime but cut its deficit to 56-54 midway with 13:34 left. ORU countered with a 16-9 run for a 72-63 lead.

The Grizzlies moved within 73-67 before Riouse responded with three treys to build ORU's advantage to 82-69. Oakland didn't get closer than seven points.

The victory improves ORU's record to 13-and-4 overall and 4-and-1 in conference play. Oakland falls to 4-and-11 and 2-and-3 in conference play.
