Corporal Jason Sanders has sacrificed a lot to serve his country. Not only did he leave behind a new wife but he also missed the arrival of his first-born.
Cpl. Jason Sanders, US Marines: "His name is Colin, didn't think I could love someone so much."
At just 22, Sanders is a combat veteran two times over, now he's preparing for a third tour of duty in Iraq.
Cpl. Jason Sanders, US Marines: "It's tough...that's my job."
Sanders says he's happy to be home with his family but you can tell the war has aged him. He's seen friends killed on the battlefield and risked his own life to save his fellow troops. Last April his squad came under a grenade attack. Sanders dragged three wounded Marines out of the line of fire and the Marine Corps honored him with a commendation for his heroism.
Mark Sanders, Marines Dad: "I'm really pround... scared to death... but really proud."
But the tales of combat are not what Corporal Sanders wants people to remember.
Cpl. Jason Sanders, US Marines: "We're doing good over there..."
Sanders will soon start training for his third and hopefully last mission to Iraq. But the tougher assignment will be leaving his young son.
Cpl. Jason Sanders: "my baby son, gonna miss em alot."
Sanders says its this grin and the love of his family that's going to get him through this next mission.
