OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- No Oklahoma law enforcement officers died while on duty in 2004.
The Oklahoma Law Enforcement Memorial Organization says shooting death of Trooper Nikky Green on December 26, 2003 was the last officer to be killed in the line of duty. Green was shot and killed as he checked on a suspicious vehicle on a county road near Devol.

In 2002, two Oklahoma law enforcement officers died. Trooper Christopher Van Krevelen was killed in a single car wreck in Enid on Thanksgiving Day.
Mayes County deputy sheriff Sean D. Earp also died in 2002 when his patrol vehicle collided with another car in Pryor on July 27th.
The deadliest year for Oklahoma law enforcement officers was in 1995 when 16 officers, including 12 federal officers were killed in the April 19 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building.
