Osage County authorities are investigating a deadly shooting at a rural home Thursday morning.

Osage County Sheriffâ€™s deputies say it happened in Quail Hollow area, in the southeast part of the county, just west of the Tulsa County line. They say a man went up to a home in the 5000 block of North 25th West Avenue, broke in the door and found two people inside.

The sheriff says the man left the home, but a young man from inside followed him out to his car. The two had an altercation and authorities say the young man shot the other man in his car, killing him.

The sheriff says he will turn the case over to the Osage County district attorney to see if any charges will be filed.

The name of the victim has not yet been released.
