Wednesday, some of Broken Arrow’s bravest were honored for their life saving efforts. The Concerned Citizens Foundation in Broken Arrow presented awards to some Broken Arrow Police officers and firefighters.
Sergeant Jimmy Glass was awarded Officer of the Year and Paramedic Lauren Palmer received Firefighter of the Year.
Craig Thurmond with Concerned Citizens Foundation: "We're the safest in the state, 46th in the country, and that's really something. We've come a long way, we're doing a lot to improve and their dedication and their efforts is huge for public safety."
The winners were nominated for the awards by their peer officers and firefighters.
