A man is behind bars after a high speed chase that started with a routine traffic stop Tuesday afternoon.

An Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper tells the News on 6, he clocked the driver of a car going more than 90 miles an hour in a 65 MPH zone. When the trooper tried to pull the car over, it sped off.

The vehicle eventually ran off the road near 81st Street West and US highway 412 and the driver was arrested.

Troopers say they found drugs in the car and the car turned out to be stolen.
