OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Teachers from 21 school districts have been selected to participate in training that will help students succeed in college.

The training comes after the state was selected for a $4.45-million federal grant.

The training will be through the GEAR UP program by the state regents office.

GEAR UP program director Dolores Mize says schools need to be incubators for college students, as well as future workers.

The school districts include:

Agra; Barnsdall; Beggs; Buffalo; Checotah; Frederick; Fort Cobb-Broxton; Guthrie; Hydro-Eakly; Kansas; Kingston; Liberty; Muldrow; Picher-Cardin; Madill; Stringtown; Stroud; Tipton; Quinton; Wister and Wetumka.
