One woman is in the hospital Thursday morning after flipping her car on the Sand Springs Expressway.

Rescue crews say the accident happened just after 4 AM Thursday. The woman was driving westbound on the Sand Springs Expressway near the Wilson exit when she hit the right side railing. Her car traveled across the westbound lanes where it hit the left side guardrail, flipping onto its side.

Crews say the woman did suffer some injuries, but was alert.
