OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Wedding bells are in Congressman-elect Dan Boren's future.

Boren, son of former governor and US senator David Boren, is engaged to marry Andrea Heupel, sister of former OU quarterback Josh Heupel.

The 31-year-old Boren announced the engagement Monday. No wedding date has been set.

Boren, a former state representative, is a Democrat who lives in Paden. His father is currently president of the University of Oklahoma. Boren's grandfather, Lyle, also served in Congress.

Heupel, originally from Aberdeen, South Dakota, is 22 years old. She is studying sonography at the OU Health Sciences Center. Her brother led the Sooners to the 2000 national championship.
