OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ The state Corporation Commission votes 2-to-1 Friday to approve an agreement between American Airlines and Public Service Company of Oklahoma.

The agreement calls for PSO residential customers to pay an average of 23 cents extra per month to subsidize American Airlines' electricity costs.

The three-year contract will reduce American's power costs by 15%.

Commissioners Jeff Cloud and Denise Bode voted in favor of the contract, saying American is critical component of the state's economy.

Bob Anthony voted against the proposal, saying its unfair for consumers to shoulder the burden. Anthony says the discounted electricity should be covered by PSO shareholders and not customers.
