One person is dead and another in serious condition after a one car accident in Tulsa. It happened Friday afternoon near 41st and Elwood.

Tulsa Police say the driver of a black sports car was approaching a stop sign at a high rate of speed and failed to see a truck in the intersection. Tulsa Police Captain Gary Rudick: "In order to miss the truck, swerved, struck another utility pole."

The passenger in the car died at the scene. The driver was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. Police say witnesses estimated the car to be traveling at 100 miles an hour.

No names have been released.
