OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A dispute over a driveway may have sparked a fatal beating, authorities said.
Oklahoma County prosecutors charged Roy Lee Stillwell Wednesday with first-degree murder in the July 25, 2002, beating death of Ricky Branch, 39.
Witnesses told police the two men fought, and a confidential informant told an officer the fight likely started because of a disagreement over Stillwell parking in Branch's driveway, court records show.
Authorities contacted Branch after the fight but he refused medical attention, according to court records. He was found dead in a recliner in his house about 22 hours after the alleged fight.
Stillwell, 31, has several criminal convictions on his record.
He is being held in the Oklahoma County jail.
