Tulsa Police are searching for a suspect following a police chase late Monday evening.

It started just before midnight when officers attempted to make a traffic stop. The driver then sped off, leading police through several north Tulsa neighborhoods.

It ended near 54th Street North and Frankfort. Tulsa Police Sgt Shawn King: "The driver of the vehicle failed to stop, led police on a short pursuit for a few minutes through the area of about 5400 North Peoria to the Hartford area. The driver ultimately bailed out of the vehicle and ran southbound."

Police scoured the neighborhood but did not find the suspect. Officers also say the driver may have thrown contraband from the vehicle during the chase, but after a search of the area nothing was found.
