MORRIS, Okla. (AP) _ Officials say the airplane that crashed in Okmulgee County, killing two men, was a home-built plane.

Edward Vaughn of Morris and Clint DeArmond of Okmulgee died in the crash near Morris late Sunday afternoon.

Federal Aviation Administration spokesman John Clabes says the single-engine plane was owned by Brannan Leasing Corporation of Lake Mary, Florida.

Witnesses reported seeing the plane flying in the area for much of the afternoon before it went into a tight spiral and hit the ground.

Clabes says FAA investigators are on the scene.
