Earlier this week, the News on 6 showed you piles of dirty diapers, old mattresses, tires and trash that are piling up on a stretch of road north and west of Tulsa.

The Osage Nation recently received a federal grant for $278,000 to clean up and prevent illegal dumping in this area.

Folks were out Thursday picking up every bit of trash that was on the road near 61st Street North.

It costs anywhere from $4,000 to $12,000 to clean up each illegal dumping site.
