ENID, Okla. (AP) A Garfield County judge has sentenced an Enid man to 30 years in prison for raping two teenage girls.

Jeremy Dwayne Garrett sobbed and hugged several relatives after yesterday's sentencing.

The 24-year-old pleaded guilty August 12th to first-degree rape by force and fear and second-degree rape.

Prosecutors allege Garrett hit a 15-year-old girl several times in April 2003 after she refused to have sex with him in a parked car on a deserted road.

Garrett also was accused of having sex with an underage girl last spring.

Assistant District Attorney Bryan Slabotsky requested a lengthy prison term for Garrett, citing his prior record and the physical and emotional damage he did to his victim.

Defense attorney Scott Anderson joined Garrett's family in asking District Judge John Michael to give Garrett a ten to 15-year term followed by probation.
