The accident happened in Collinsville shortly after midnight. Authorities say for some reason the tank car went on its side at about 6th and Main. That's blocked part of the road there, but shouldn't affect too much traffic.

The News on 6 has been told this is the third such accident in the past few months.

Clean-up could take until early Friday afternoon.

No one was hurt.
