Prevention is the best way to fight the flu. And since 750,000 Tulsa-area residents won't be able to get a flu shot this year, Hillcrest HealthCare Systems and the Tulsa Health Department has launched a public awareness campaign to stop the spread of the flu bug.
The campaign was kicked off Monday at Tulsa's Garfield Elementary School. The campaign teaches school-aged children how to keep themselves healthy this flu season through something as simple as washing their hands.
