GUTHRIE, Okla. (AP) -- An Oklahoma City man is now charged with first-degree manslaughter in the deaths of two Kansas teenagers who were hit by a car.
Police say Kevin Beplate was under the influence of drugs when he swerved off Interstate 35 near Guthrie late Friday. The car hit and killed 15-year-old Krystopher Abrahms and 14-year-old Kyle Lafferty of La Crosse, Kansas.
The brothers were walking along the road with their half-brother, Matthew McNutt, after McNutt's car had a flat tire. McNutt was also hit and has a broken leg.
