A traffic accident shut-down Tulsa’s busiest interstate for more than an hour Sunday afternoon.
Authorities re-opened the highway after all the vehicles were removed from the scene under 41st Street Bridge on I-44.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers say the semi was traveling east when a car in the westbound lane crossed the median and hit the semi's trailer. That’s when the truck jack-knifed.
The car was totaled it’s two occupants were transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Troopers say they believe "wet roads" and "speed" were major factors.
Four other cars were struck by flying debris. No one else was seriously injured.
