Porn charges filed against Oklahoma City man

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Oklahoma County prosecutors have filed 100 child pornography counts against a man who allegedly told a police informant he had a plan to kidnap, rape and kill an 8-year-old girl.

James Cheyenne Brown, 41, remained free on Friday. He was taken into custody Nov. 12 but was released after posting $180,000 bail.

Brown was arrested on four complaints of child pornography after a confidential informant told police Brown was displaying the images on his computer, according to a court affidavit.

Police added 50 complaints after searching his house the day of the arrest and 46 additional counts were included in the charges filed Friday.

According to the affidavit, police found more than 500 still images of child pornography and more than 100 movies on compact discs and his computer.

Brown told the informant he planned to keep the girl for several days at his trailer in Clayton while he sexually assaulted her before he killed her and buried her body, records show.

During a police interview, Brown said the plan to abduct the girl was only a fantasy and was conceived by the informant.
