OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A fire that killed a man driving a minivan in northwest Oklahoma City last week was an accident, authorities said.
Edwin Belkham, 72, died when the vehicle caught fire at Northwest Expressway and Meridian Avenue on Nov. 11.
An accidental ignition and an oxygen bottle in the van are being blamed for the blaze, fire Maj. Brian Stanaland said.
The fire had engulfed the van by the time firefighters arrived. Other motorists tried to help Belkham but couldn't because of the intense heat.
