OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A spokesman for Frank Keating says the former Oklahoma governor is flattered to hear his name mentioned as a possible nominee the the president's Cabinet, but has not been contacted.
Keating was mentioned Thursday on MSNBC's ``Countdown with Keith Olbermann'' as a possible successor to Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge if he leaves that post.
While flattering to be mentioned, Keating has heard nothing, said his spokesman, Dan Mahoney.
``He is happy doing what he's doing,'' Mahoney said. ``He is enjoying the private sector.''
Keating is president and chief executive officer of the American Council of Life Insurers in the nation's capital.
