OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A private vocational school in Oklahoma City is closed after a federal agency found it falsified student aid files.
DeMarge College closed this week, leaving about 200 students looking to transfer and about 50 faculty and staff members laid off.
The closing came after the U-S Department of Education found evidence of falsified student attendance records and forged student signatures.
The department is proposing the school be fined more than three-and-a-half (m) million dollars.
Dennis Rea with the Oklahoma Board of Private Vocational Schools says many students are transferring to Platt College or City College in Moore.
He says the students won't be charged any money above what they would've been charged at DeMarge.
