OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) A 20-year-old man has been sentenced to more than ten years in prison for his role in a child prostitution ring.
Federal Judge David -L- Russell called Exsavior Antwan Phillips a danger to society before sentencing him to 125 months in prison Wednesday.
FBI Special Agent Mike Beaver says Phillips met a 17-year-old homeless girl at an Oklahoma City nightclub in April 2003. The following night, they had dinner and Phillips brought along his top prostitute, a 15-year-old girl.
Beaver says Phillips gave the girl condoms, diaper wipes and hand sanitizer before dropping her off at a truck stop, where she sold her body to truck drivers.
Phillips defended himself, saying he wasn't without morals or civility.
But Russell recounted a criminal history that dated back to when Phillips was 12 years old and arrested for burglary, and said society needs protection from him.
