A teenager convicted of killing an elderly Tulsa man will get to leave jail and visit his mother for two months, if he behaves, he may not have to go back.
Mitchell Roberts has spent less than three years in custody. While he’s out, Roberts must wear an ankle monitor, get a job, go to counseling, pass random drug tests and enroll in college.
Roberts was 15 when he pleaded guilty to killing Donald Green in 2001. Roberts helped another man dump Green's strangled, beaten body into a Kentucky river.
Green's family says it's ridiculous that Roberts can be out so soon.
