OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Gamblers can expect new gaming machines at Indian casinos by spring and at Remington horse track by summer.
Oklahoma voters approved allowing the new gaming choices during last Tuesday's general election.
The tribes are now awaiting federal approval of compacts with the state for the new games. And Remington in Oklahoma City, Will Rogers Downs at Claremore and Blue Ribbon Downs at Sallisaw are undergoing renovations.
Meanwhile, state Finance Director Scott Meacham expects to hire about seven new workers to oversee the tribal compacts.
