OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ An Oklahoma County judge has given a man two life sentences after the man pleaded guilty to child sexual abuse.

Kenneth -W- Calhoun Junior pleaded guilty Wednesday to 54 counts of indecent or lewd acts with a child, 20 counts of rape and eleven other counts. He had faced 85 counts.

Calhoun's plea came during the third day of his trial.

Prosecutors say he assaulted three girls aged nine, 12 and 15 over a ten-month period beginning in July 2002.

Victims and their relatives gave tearful statements before Calhoun was sentenced.

One girl told Calhoun that she hates him and hopes he dies.

Defense attorney Bob Carpenter said Calhoun decided to plead guilty because he didn't want to put the families through the rest of the trial.
