OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- All it took was a fish sandwich and a can of Sprite to free two hostages held at the Oklahoma County Juvenile Detention Center.

17-year-old Antwon Moore had held two jail guard hostage for nearly two hours using a sharp, broken-off table leg as a weapon.

Oklahoma County Sheriff John Whetsel says the two employees weren't injured.

Whetsel says staff had been having problems with inmates since Sunday morning. The two jail guards went into the pod to calm the inmates down and were taken hostage at about 11:45 AM.

A hostage negotiator persuaded Moore to release the hostages and surrender in exchange for the soda and sandwich about 2:15 PM.

Moore told officials that he hadn't been fed in days.

Facility administrator Larry Hicks says the juveniles were given food Sunday morning.

Moore has been taken to the Oklahoma County jail. He could face charges of kidnapping and inciting a riot. Three other inmates could also be charge in the incident.
