A 6 year old Bartlesville boy viciously attacked by a pit bull is recovering in the hospital.

Noah Cross has a broken nose, fractures around his eyes and more than 1,000 stitches. Bartlesville investigators say he was trying to put a collar on the dog when it attacked.

The dog has since been euthanized.
