STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ Despite being one of the top rushers in the nation, Oklahoma State's junior running back Vernand Morency says he has no plans to enter the NFL draft after this season.
Morency -- who is two years shy of graduation -- says he returned to school because he wants to get his degree.
The 25-year-old's college start was delayed for several years after a try at a professional baseball career.
But Morency says the lure of big money from the NFL is not a temptation.
He says he judges success by having a diploma and not money, and that a college degree will be an important thing to fall back on.
Morency says he wants to make his mother proud by finishing school and getting a degree.
