ADA, Okla. (AP) _ A tight race for the U-S Senate has become so contentious, some voters say they're completely turned off.
Republican Tom Coburn and Democrat Brad Carson are running to replace retiring Senator Don Nickles.
Retired nurse Brenda Clark in Ada says she's sick of both candidates smearing each other with negative campaign ads.
And in Hobart, Police Chief Dale Uptergrove says he's undecided and that the candidates haven't addressed the issues.
The negative ads include allegations that Coburn, a doctor, sterilized a woman without her consent and committed Medicaid fraud. Coburn's ads claim Carson is a liberal pretending to be a conservative to appeal to voters.
Recent polls show Carson and Coburn about even with the November second election now less than two weeks away.
