New developments in a hospital controversy in Owasso. Homeowners trying to petition to keep the hospital away from their neighborhood have hit a snag.

They'd been collecting signatures to bring a rezoning request for the Owasso Medical Center to a public vote. But, it's now been determined an initiative petition doesn't apply in the zoning request. So, the issue won't go before voters.

If homeowners disagree with the decision, the next step would be to take the issue to district court.
