Runners, bikers, roller bladers, and anyone else who uses Tulsa's Riverparks will be happy to know the pedestrian bridge near 31st and Riverside is now open.

For the past seven months, the bridge was undergoing renovations. There's a new deck, repaired support structures and sections of new handrails.

Tulsa County commissioner Randi Miller: “This is the beginning, river development the next five years."

Funding for the pedestrian bridge renovations was made possible by the 2001 third-penny sales tax.
