Tulsa Public Schools has announced its best ever schools for this school year. Forty-seven schools have received their highest ratings to date on the TPS accountability plan.
The Accountability Plan sets the standard for TPS schools to achieve greatness based on several factors, such as attendance, yearly progress and faculty participation.
The elementary schools receiving their highest rating in the 2003-04 school year and named "Best Ever" include Academy Central, Addams, Anderson, Barnard, Bell, Bryant, Carnegie, Celia Clinton, Chouteau, Columbus, Cooper, Disney, Eisenhower International, Eliot, Emerson, Greely, Grissom, Hoover, Jackson, Kendall-Whittier, Kerr, Lee, Lindsey (soon to be an elementary alternative school), Marshall, Mayo Demonstration School, McKinley, Mitchell, Park, Patrick Henry, Penn, Phillips, Robertson, Salk, Sequoyah, Skelly, Springdale, Whitman and Wright.
Middle schools receiving the "Best Ever" distinction are Clinton, Edison, Foster, Lewis and Clark, Madison, Monroe, Nimitz, Thoreau and Wilson.
