A late night police chase Monday ends with two arrests.
Tulsa Police say about 11 PM Monday, they tried to make a traffic stop near 11th and Sandusky. That's when the driver took off, leading officers on a tense chase. Police decided to back off for safety reasons.
Tulsa Police Sgt Mike McNeen: "He just kept speeding away, driving southbound in the northbound lane, weaving in and out of traffic, speeds up to 70-80 miles an hour on Harvard Avenue. At this point of time, with the fair in town, that's just too dangerous."
The driver eventually ditched the vehicle near 47th and Pittsburg. He and a passenger ran into a neighborhood. They were quickly captured and jailed on a variety of complaints.
Tulsa Police credit citizen calls that helped them locate the suspects.
