FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) _ Investigators in Arkansas are awaiting toxicology reports in an alcohol-related death of a University of Arkansas fraternity member.
Officials haven't released the student's name or his fraternity affiliation.
A newspaper in Springdale, Arkansas, reported that records show an emergency call was placed for help at the Kappa Sigma fraternity.
Police say the student was found at an off-campus residence Saturday morning at about 9:30.
The caller says the male student had been feeling sick, took medicine containing hydrocodone, then drank beer. Hydrocodone is a cough suppressant.
The official cause of death is still pending.
University officials say the student was not a pledge and lived off campus.
The Arkansas death comes just days after a 19-year-old University of Oklahoma student died after drinking at the Sigma Chi fraternity house.
Officials say Blake Adam Hammontree's blood alcohol level was five times the legal limit.
