ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) _ Two former University at Albany football players pleaded guilty Wednesday to raping a female student in a campus dorm room last fall.
Lorenzo Ashbourne of Smyrna, Ga., and Julius Harris of Riviera Beach, Fla. _ both 19 _ each pleaded guilty to a felony count of rape. They are scheduled to be sentenced in August to six months in the Albany County jail, 10 years probation and will be required to register as sex offenders.
Prosecutors said the two freshman football players raped an intoxicated classmate in their room on the Albany campus in October.
Both men were expelled from the college.
A rape charge against a third former Albany player is still pending.
