CARNEGIE, Okla. (AP) -- Members of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma say OK to a proposal to purchase Indian City USA in Anadarko. Results of Saturday's election show members approving a proposal to use money once set aside for a health clinic for the event.

Kiowa election officials say the proposal -- which allows the tribe to use $325,000 to make the purchase -- passed 470-to-157.

Indian City USA was organized by the citizens of Anadarko in 1954.

The theme park features seven Indian villages that represent each local tribe's heritage. The site also has a campground, museum and lodge.
