OAKMONT, Pa. (AP) _ Several golfers with Oklahoma ties are in the 156-man field for the 107th U.S. Open.
Former Oklahoma State golfers Pablo Martin, Hunter Mahan and amateur Trip Kuehne earned spots in sectional qualifying tournaments.
Former Cowboys Charles Howell III and Scott Verplank qualified by being ranked in the Top 50 in the world as of May 28th.
And former University of Oklahoma golfer Todd Hamilton will be in the field as a former British Open champion.
The U.S. Open will be June 14th through 17th at Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, Pennsylvania.
