STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ Big 12 golf champion Pablo Martin has signed with an agent and will forgo his senior year at Oklahoma State.
Martin said Monday he would start his professional career this week at the Stanford Saint Jude Championship and use sponsor exemptions to compete on the PGA and European tours the rest of this year.
The Malaga, Spain, native's victory last year at the European Tour's Estoril Open de Portugal earned him an exemption on the European Tour that will begin when he establishes membership on the Tour and last through the 2009 season.
Martin had five college victories and helped OSU to the 2006 NCA-A golf championship.
He signed with IMG.
