OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- An eighth-grader from Broken Arrow was eliminated in the semifinals of the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. Fourteen-year-old Bruce Haiduk of Centennial Middle School stumbled on the word "corydora." A corydora is a type of catfish seen in home aquariums.
Haiduk says he's not too disappointed and he wins $250 for making it into the fifth round.
The other Oklahoman in the competition was eighth-grader Audrey Foote of Edmond who was eliminated Wednesday.
Thirteen-year-old Evan O'Dorney of Danville, California, won the competition by correctly spelling "serrefine
