A busy night for Tulsa firefighters. Just before midnight, Tulsa Fire crews were called to a duplex in the 2000 block of East 2nd Street. Fire officials say it appears a fire started between the garage and the house, then spread to the residence. No one in the duplex was hurt.
Fire officials are investigating the fire as arson. The fire also damaged the siding of the house next door.
At about 1:30 a.m. Friday, Tulsa firefighters were called again, this time to a home near 5th and Wheeling. Fire crews found a fire inside the house, which they quickly put out. A woman and her three children were in the house at the time. The woman tells Tulsa Fire investigators someone broke into her home and set several fires.
And around 6 a.m. Friday, Tulsa Fire crews were called to a house fire at 53rd and Marion. The blaze was quickly contained. Two people were inside the home at the time of fire. Both made it out safely, but the couple's pets were lost in the fire.
Damage to the home is estimated to be over $100,000. The cause of that fire remains under investigation.
